The unique 1200 denier outer fabric is both waterproof and highly breathable, and is cut in a single piece over the back to completely eliminate the risk of leakage. The inside consists of an antibacterial and antistatic lining that is gentle and helps give the coat a natural shine. The lightweight 50g thermobonded filling provides just the right amount of warmth in chilly weather without clumping or sagging.
The front closure is design-protected for maximum stability. The upper of the two T-buckles is placed at a 45-degree angle to reduce pressure at the shoulder and allow freedom of movement. Behind the closure are layers of anti-pilling Velcro that ensure the rug remains correctly positioned even when the horse rolls or plays.
The Arika series' globally patented two-piece skirt solves the problem many traditional rugs create: tension around the shoulder and hindquarters, which can cause chafing and restrict freedom of movement. Thanks to the separate skirt, the rug follows the horse's movements, retains warmth, and protects against splashes—without hindering the horse. Cross surcingles with a removable center strap keep the rug secure yet flexible.
Reflective details make the horse visible in low light. The silicone-coated tail strap is easy to keep clean, and the extra-long tail flap provides effective protection over the tail root.
