The helmet is made of ABS material, which is shock-absorbing and distributes the energy generated by an impact to properly protect the head by spreading the force across the helmet.
The inner shell is made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), which absorbs energy by compressing upon strong impact. This means the inner shell becomes firmer after a fall and therefore does not offer the same protection a second time.
It is therefore important to replace your helmet after a fall (applies to all helmets on the market).
The 4 ventilation holes at the front and 2 at the back provide good air circulation to keep you comfortable under the helmet.
