The ball on the middle part is no larger than the rest of the mouthpiece, which avoids point pressure on the tongue. The short middle part breaks off at the side of the tongue, giving a pleasant shape in the mouth.

The light weight makes the bit less rigid and increases acceptance towards the bit. You will have an "aha" experience when taking the reins.
