A unique medical hoof boot designed to keep wounds, dressings, and bandages clean. This medical hoof boot is suitable for use in the stable and can be used on calm horses in the paddock. The boot is constructed with flexible and lightweight materials to allow for easy putting on and taking off, with a diagonal zipper that provides a close and good fit. They are not indestructible and can be stepped on and broken by the horse both in the stall and in the paddock! MUST BE USED WITH BOOTS OVER!
The lifespan of this medical hoof boot is about 2-3 weeks with normal use, not counting if the horse has run in the paddock or stepped on the boots. However, many find that the lifespan is significantly longer if the horse has been calm during use.
The outer sole is grooved to provide good grip and the insole is reinforced with Kevlar for better durability.
The material is waterproof to prevent dirt and water from entering, however, the zipper is not waterproof! Can be used on both shod and unshod horses.
The medical hoof boot is NOT suitable for riding or for use in a large and wet/muddy paddock.
The boot should have a tight fit, so measure carefully according to the size chart.
Can be washed at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle with light spin. NOTE: Sold individually and has a rather round fit.
