Soak the protections in a bucket of water until the material has absorbed it. Wring out the protections and place them around the horse's legs. Thanks to the special materials, the water evaporates slowly and extracts heat in the process, providing a pleasant cooling effect.

For a relaxed treatment, the horse should stand still, not move freely, and not be left unattended.
