Trust bits are handmade and made of sweet iron, which has a sweet taste and stimulates saliva production. The bits will lose their blue color over time and become rust-colored.
Be sure to dry the bits thoroughly after riding.

2.5-ring bits are especially good for somewhat strong horses, as the "half" ring provides a leverage effect if the horse leans on the bit. The brass rings in the middle give the horse something to play with if it is a bit restless with its tongue.
