Trust bits are handmade and made of sweet iron, which has a sweet taste and stimulates saliva production. The bits will eventually lose their blue color and become rust-colored.
Be careful to dry the bits thoroughly after riding.
A 2.5 rings bit is somewhat milder than a 3 rings bit like a Pessoa. It can be used with leverage effect. The lower the reins are placed, the sharper the bit becomes.
An ideal bit for horses that are somewhat strong or grab the bit. Compared to a 2.5 egg bit, you do not get as quick an effect in the rein action with loose rings where the bit can move slightly.
Can also be used with two reins, where you place one in the large ring and one in the bottom half ring.
