Sprenger's popular Dynamic RS bits are available in many different designs.
This model is a two-part bit with fixed rings.
Common two-part bits often have a common denominator, which is that one link is longer than the other, resulting in sharper pressure on the edges of the tongue. To avoid this, Sprenger has twisted the link 45 degrees forward, which provides more even pressure on the edges of the tongue while not going as much up towards the palate. Suitable for horses that do not like the pressure on the tongue that a three-part bit gives, as a two-part provides more tongue freedom.
Eggbutt is suitable for horses with sensitive corners of the mouth as they remain still and invite the horse to seek more contact. Horses that tend to become strong can lean a bit more on a bit with fixed rings.
The bit is made of Sprenger's famous sensogan, which is nickel-free and promotes saliva production, inviting a more honest contact with the bit. The arrow on one side of the bit should sit in the left corner of the mouth and point forward, then the bit is positioned correctly.
Bit thickness: 14 mm
Ring diameter: 70 mm
