The helmet is made of ABS material, which is shock-absorbing and distributes the energy generated by an impact to properly protect the head by spreading the force over the helmet.
The inner pads are made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), which absorbs energy by compressing upon strong impact. This means the pad becomes firmer after a fall and therefore does not offer the same protection a second time.
It is therefore important to replace your helmet after a fall (applies to all helmets on the market).
The 4 ventilation holes at the front and 2 at the back provide good air circulation to keep you comfortable under the helmet.
The Eclipse sun visor is designed to give the user protection against sunlight and bad weather while keeping the field of vision clear.
All Antarés helmets are handmade in France and meet the safety standards EN 1384:2023 and ASTM F1163-2023.
