The design of the blanket means that shoulder gussets are not needed, yet the shoulders are free to move under the blanket. Double T-buckles at the front with overlapping closure with Velcro underneath. The outer material is made of soft 210D Ripstop. On the inside of the neck, there are attachments for a neck cover if you wish to purchase one, as well as extra loops to attach Liner blankets (stable blankets without belly straps) to increase thickness.
