The Baucher bit, also known as a hanging cheek bit, is designed to protect the corners of the mouth and the front molars by applying pressure lower down. This also allows the horse to position the bit where it prefers (raising and lowering it in the mouth).

Suitable for horses that easily get chafed at the corners of the mouth and are a bit restless in the mouth.

The mouthpiece is 2-part, which suits horses that dislike pressure on the tongue.
