The mouthpiece is a three-piece sweet iron with Fager’s smart FSS locking (Fager’s Smart System).

With this technique, the bit locks upwards and forwards to create a bit with limited flexibility. This provides calmness to a horse that has difficulty trusting the bit and seeking honest support. The rounded middle part that breaks off at the side of the tongue allows Martin to shape itself in the mouth, unlike a straight bit.
