Note that Gustav can be used in two ways. With tongue relief, or with freedom for the bars.

With tongue relief. The logo (horse) on the right side, running forward.

• Hard to seek the bit
• Can be on and off in contact.
• Sensitive with pressure over the tongue, may toss the head, make sudden jerky movements, etc.
• Becomes unsteady on regular three/two-piece bits.

With freedom for the bars. The logo (horse) running up and down, backward.

• Restless/dislikes tongue relief.
• Bites down on the bit, becomes mute.
• Takes no constant or even support
• Sensitive, alternatively sharp bars.
• Easily gets sores.

Gustav is 100% softly shaped and evenly thick over the break. A very comfortable bit without risk of pinching. Depending on which way you use Gustav, it is designed to adapt to your horse's comfort.

Normal in size. If you are between two sizes, go up.
