Carl is designed to follow the horse's natural shape and provide less constant pressure over the tongue. The design, combined with a short center plate, takes up little space in the mouth and does not unnecessarily irritate an already sensitive horse.

The light weight makes it less rigid and increases acceptance. The constant pressure is low and thus more comfortable to wear.

Carl is also suitable for a horse that is short between the bars and has a low palate.

With the rein in the large ring, Carl functions as a Baucher/snaffle bit. The rein in the bottom ring provides a gag and leverage function, this combination gives a more flexible and movable feel than fixed cheek pieces.

Feel free to combine with Fager's quick snaps and chain to further distribute the pressure and get more options in the same bit.
