The eggbutt prevents the horse from being pinched in the lips/corners of the mouth by the bit rings and provides a more stable feeling against the face. It also prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth. The release is somewhat slower and it also applies a little pressure on the poll.
The Comfort thin mouthpiece has the same design as the Comfort Bar but is thinner. Recommended for horses that do not have very spacious mouths, as well as ponies. The Weymouth bit in this model has become very popular for horses that have difficulty accommodating both a thicker curb bit and a bradoon in the mouth. Pony bits are delivered with a suitably sized cheekpiece.
This mouthpiece is not suitable for horses that chew on the bit. Therefore, the bit is not covered by warranty or right of complaint if damage occurs due to the horse chewing on the bit.
