The yeast culture Diamond V is an effective feed supplement for your horse that increases feed digestibility and optimizes protein efficiency. Diamond V has a positive effect on growth and condition in both foals and adult horses.

The majority of the feed is digested with the help of enzymes in the stomach and small intestine. However, some of the hard-to-digest feed is not broken down but is instead passed on to the cecum and colon, where it is broken down by bacteria and other microorganisms. Diamond V fermented yeast culture has the greatest effect in the cecum and small intestine, as it contains important nutrients that the microorganisms need. A healthy microflora breaks down more feed and releases more nutrients to the horse, resulting in the horse absorbing more nutrients from the feed ration – nutrients that are used for growth and reproduction. Diamond V does not establish a new yeast culture in the stomach/intestine system but strengthens the horse's own microflora to the benefit of the horse's nutrient uptake.

Horses that have a great ability to transport oxygen in the bloodstream can normally perform more. A horse with high oxygen potential can supply the muscle cells with precisely the amount of oxygen the muscles need in situations of heavy load, such as in competition contexts. The lactic acid level in the bloodstream is used as an indicator of the horse's condition. If the lactic acid level in the horse's blood is low after heavy load, it is a sign that the blood has a good ability to transport oxygen to the muscle cells, i.e., the horse is in good condition.

Horses were under load for 35 minutes, followed by a 20-minute break. In the same experiment, the horse's pulse was measured under load. It turned out that horses fed with Diamond V had a significantly lower pulse compared to those that did not receive it. The blood's hemoglobin transports oxygen around in the blood vessels. Horses fed with Diamond V had a higher content of hemoglobin in the blood and therefore did not need a high pulse. Diamond V increases the horse's condition and provides the horse with increased energy metabolism, better oxygen uptake, and higher performance level.

Diamond V has been developed and tested for more than 50 years. International trials conducted mainly in the USA show that the product creates added value in the form of increased growth, improved feed digestibility, and thus better performance.

It differs from other yeast-based products by being a completely fermented yeast culture, which means that the active ingredient is not yeast, but the nutrients and fermentation products generated in the fermentation process.
