The Segundo mouthpiece provides substantial tongue relief while maintaining even pressure across the bars and encourages the horse to have a light contact. They generally make it harder for the horse to put its tongue over or cling to the bit.

The loose rings offer an immediate release as soon as you ease your hand, allowing the bit to immediately return to its natural position in the mouth.

The bit is made of sweet iron and will change color over time and become slightly rusty. Be diligent in drying the bit thoroughly after each use to prevent it from rusting too much and becoming rough.
