The eggbutt prevents the horse from being pinched in the lips/corners of the mouth by the bit rings and provides a more stable feel against the face. It also prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth. The release is somewhat slower and it also applies a slight pressure on the poll.

The Pivot mouthpiece allows the bit to move at the joint, while maintaining its shape in the mouth and staying more still. The Ported Pivot is a blend of the best from Happy Tongue and Ported Barrel. The bit allows the sides to move independently of each other while the mouthpiece remains steady in the mouth. This bit is suitable for horses that are sensitive on the tongue and have difficulty flexing at the poll and do not take enough contact on the bit.

This bit is well suited for horses that are light in the contact and encourages the horse to seek more contact with the bit.
