The Vector stirrups from Lemieux are a new generation of stirrups - technically advanced and lightweight, yet maintaining a classic style expected from LeMieux.
High-quality aluminum offers an impressive balance between strength and weight, making them lighter than most stirrups on the market at just 419g each, without compromising stability.
The ergonomic footplate on the Balance Stirrup is set at 5°, with a grip surface embedded with hardened steel pins, to allow for stability and keep the heels down.
The footplate is supported by a dual balance arch system that distributes weight evenly across the base of the stirrup frame. The frame's tip is recessed and offset, providing a 45° outward angle making it easier for the rider to find the optimal foot position and easily regain a lost stirrup.
An integrated hinge arm features a two-step release system, preventing accidental opening. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, the arm releases so the foot can exit the stirrup, minimizing the risk of being dragged by the horse.
The stirrup arm's breakout force = 36N (equivalent to 3.62 kg), meaning enough resistance to prevent accidental opening, but will release when needed.
It is important to note that no stirrup of this design (with a release arm) is 100% guaranteed to open in a fall. It is very rare for it not to open, but the rider must be aware that no stirrup is completely foolproof.
