Rheva is a molded wound protection/plaster for horses. Rheva is made of medically graded plastic with a perforated bulge in the middle. The plaster protects against infection risks such as dirt and insects, and the bulge creates an air pocket above the wound, providing a moist environment where oxygen is allowed in. Research shows that a favorable healing environment for wounds involves a certain level of humidity. Rheva wound protection gives the horse a chance to heal naturally under gentle conditions while reducing the need for antibiotics.
