The bit has a rubber-like texture that withstands the horse lightly chewing on the bit. Inside the bit is a flexible stainless steel wire that has been injection-molded with a synthetic material. This is FDA-approved, non-toxic, and UV-resistant.
The bit is especially appreciated by horses that do not like metal bits or have a sensitive mouth where it feels like everything has been tried. Also good if the horse has injuries on the bars, as the mouthpiece is designed to put as little pressure on the bars as possible while providing acceptable pressure on the tongue.
