Cold water therapy in the form of a leg protector. The bandage contains microcrystals that turn into a cooling gel when soaked. The crystals fill quilted gaps in the fabric and form a soft gel pad that surrounds all parts of the leg when the protector is on. This cold gel compress provides support to reduce swelling and bruising, cools tendons after exercise, and treats soft tissue injuries. Convenient hook-and-loop fastening. Non-messy and reusable – the gel is enclosed in the fabric and returns to microcrystals when it dries. The horse maintains its freedom of movement during treatment. Comes in a 2-pack.
Usage
- Soak the protectors in clean water for 24 hours before first use. After that, soak in cold clean water for at least 60 minutes before treatment. In very hot weather or for extra cooling effect, you can add ice to the water or place the protectors in the refrigerator after soaking. NOTE! Do not freeze!
- Make sure the legs are free from mud and other dirt.
- Shake off excess water.
- Attach the protectors with even, light pressure. Leave on for about 20 minutes.
- Rinse off and let air dry after use. With regular use, the protectors can be stored in a bucket of clean, cool water.
