Sprenger Turnado is a new generation of 2-part bits with an innovative design.

Common 2-part bits have one part that is longer than the other, thereby exerting greater pressure on one side of the tongue's edge and the bars. To avoid this problem, Sprenger has angled the link in the middle 45 degrees to ensure a more even distribution of pressure on both sides. This also makes the bit move more forward than upward when pulling the reins, reducing the risk of the bit hitting the horse's palate.

2-part bits provide greater tongue freedom than a 3-part and may be more suitable for horses that do not tolerate tongue pressure well.
