The Arika Armour-Tek Fly Rug is an ultra-lightweight fly rug developed for technically advanced insect protection on warm days. With 85 percent UV protection, the rug helps shield the horse from the sun's effects while serving as an effective barrier against flies and other insects in the paddock and stable.

The innovative micro-mesh material provides a flexible, almost “second skin”-like fit and is highly breathable. It helps regulate the horse's temperature and keeps air flowing even as the heat rises, making the rug ideal for the most intense periods of summer.

LeMieux's patented two-piece skirt relieves pressure at the lower edge and reduces tension, giving the horse greater freedom of movement. For maximum coverage, the rug is equipped with an extended, shaped belly panel that protects the underside and is securely fastened with three girths and a removable central strap.

The inside features an antibacterial and antistatic lining that helps prevent chafing, reduces static electricity, and adds extra shine to the coat. The 45° angled T-bar front closure distributes pressure across the chest and reduces the risk of irritation at the point of shoulder and over the forechest.

An extra-long tail flap protects the hindquarters, and an elastic PVC-coated tail strap helps keep the rug securely in place. A detachable neck cover with a lined mane panel is included, providing the option for extra coverage when needed.
