Pelham Leather Bit, short shank from Beris.

Horses accept leather bits very well and almost all horses like the feeling of leather in their mouths and react with increased salivation, become relaxed, and start chewing on the bit. The anatomical shape is further improved when the mouthpiece becomes wet, as it then molds to the horse's mouth.

Pelhambits are a classic bit that is very popular for, among other things, hot and strong horses. It can be used with a delta or with double reins, with or without a chain, which provides many options to change the bit's effect and sharpness. Leather bits are suitable for young and very sensitive horses. Also for horses that usually do not like to have a bit in their mouth. The leather is vegetable-tanned and hand-sewn.

Note: Before using a leather bit for the first time, soak it in cooking oil until the leather is fully saturated. This should be repeated when the leather starts to look dry. Remember to rinse the bit thoroughly after riding as saliva can shorten the lifespan of the leather.

- The bit comes with cheek chain hooks, but the cheek chain is sold separately.

Thickness: 20 mm

Shank 5 cm

The leather material is not suitable for horses that chew a lot on the bit. Therefore, the bit is not covered by warranty or right of complaint if the damage has occurred because the horse has bitten the bit.
