Fager Oscar is suitable if you would describe your horse as follows:
- Sensitive to pressure, unstable in the contact
- Struggles to establish contact
- Can be difficult to steer
- Has sensitive corners of the mouth
- Unbalanced
Oscar is a lightweight double-jointed bit, made from the durable metal Titanium. It is designed with a 30 mm lozenge in the center of the mouthpiece that lies flat against the horse's tongue. This straight design places more pressure on the tongue and less on the bars.
Oscar features a smooth front lock that gives the horse the stability they need to more easily seek contact, build confidence, and improve balance.
Baby Fulmer is a registered design by Fager. This cheekpiece gives you a blend between loose and fixed rings. Fulmers will sit close to the horse's cheek, assisting with steering and keeping the mouthpiece steady. The loose rings are placed further away from the corners of the mouth, which will apply pressure lower and inward, encouraging the horse to lift in the front, come back to the hand, and avoid a stiff feeling against the bit. It is a very comfortable choice for many horses and a good start for a young one. Baby Fulmer is FEI approved, even for dressage.
