Sofia, a curb bit with low weight and fixed shanks for discerning and sensitive horses. It provides quick and smooth communication and protects sensitive bars.

Sofia is the result of Fager's latest research, where the pressure is distributed more advantageously in the mouth and reduces the risk of pressure injuries. The mouthpiece is angled forward over the tongue to give a sensitive tongue space and increase comfort for your horse. This design also gives the bridoon more freedom and removes the risk of pinching between the bridoon and the curb bit.

When the chain engages with rein contact, Sofia's arch/tongue relief comes into play and applies pressure to the tongue while relieving the bars. This is because the bars should not bear such a large load when the chain presses the bit down onto the bars and the tongue is left completely free. Here, the tongue must take over the force. With Sofia, the constant pressure on the tongue is removed, but clarity in contact is maintained.
