Sweden's loveliest equestrian store

Sally is one of Fager's best-selling bits with very positive feedback from customers.

The design with the gentle curve gives the bit an anatomical shape that follows the horse's mouth and provides even pressure on both the bars and the tongue. The short center piece is designed for today's sport horses, which often have both a low and short palate. This allows the bit to follow the bars, break over the tongue, and ergonomically fit the shape.

The short center piece has proven to work even for horses that previously only accepted double-jointed bits.

The bit is made of titanium, which neither gives a taste nor rusts. This is appreciated by many horses as it does not have the sharp metallic taste. The light weight has proven to be very positive since the horse does not need to hold up the bit with its tongue or bars, which in turn can lead to unnecessary tension.

The center piece has a copper roller where the taste is located. Copper has been chosen because it gives a more "electric" taste than, for example, sweet iron. This means that when the horse rolls its tongue against the roller, saliva production increases and the horse takes a better hold of the bit, which in turn gives a more stable contact. The copper roller is very good for horses that easily let go of the bit or fall behind the hand.

The loose rings provide quick contact with the mouth and give the horse greater freedom to choose where it wants to place the bit in its mouth. On Fager's loose rings, all holes have rounded edges to minimize the risk of pinching.

Sally is also recommended for horses that tend to lean on the hand and put weight on the bit. When the horse gets strong, the copper roller will create a point pressure on the tongue and stop spinning, which most horses will try to avoid. This usually results in the horse returning to a more stable contact, and the pressure will then release and return to the rolling feeling.
