Fager’s Mary has everything you’ve ever wished for in a bridoon!
It features a fantastic design with a 100% smooth surface, even over the joints. Mary’s joints are designed to never press up into the palate or create uneven pressure between the bars. It is an extremely comfortable bit that naturally follows the tongue, relieving the bars from constant pressure.
When you use Mary with Fager’s double bridle, the whole set weighs 400g less than a normal double bridle set! Mary is made with Fager’s new Anoblast™ technology, which enables incredibly high quality. The grey color comes from a natural process during production, so no additional coloring is needed.
Fager’s mouthpiece always has a horizontal shape and therefore never has a large forward curve. We do this to achieve a correct balance point (BP) in the mouth; if you make a bit with a larger forward curve, you also move the balance point, which reduces the effectiveness of the aids. That’s why Mary has a unique design that protects both the bars and the rest of the mouth from sores, even on the most sensitive horses. An ideal design for a sensitive horse that can easily get sores at the corners of the mouth and inside the cheeks.
Note: Mary has the same mouthpiece as Maria. Maria is the snaffle bit version = normal rings. Mary is the bridoon version = smaller rings.
