Vento has been thoroughly tested by, among others, Marcus Ehning. The secret lies in the innovative layers of material inside the boot: the innermost layer, which is in contact with the horse's leg, is made of two-way stretch for maximum comfort. The middle layer is Aerox, micro-perforated neoprene; the microscopic holes are designed to allow heat from the leg to escape.

The outermost layer is a special 3D material with mesh, which helps the warm air to move upwards.

The shock-absorbing shell has ventilation holes at the bottom where cool air is drawn in, and additional holes at the top where warm air is expelled.

Carbon Vento combines the protection of carbon fiber and shock-absorbing gel with the advantages of double ventilation. Heat from the horse's leg passes through the innermost and middle layers and is distributed in the 3D mesh. Cool air is drawn in through the lower ventilation hole thanks to the horse's movement and pushes the heat, which has accumulated in the 3D layer, upwards and out through the upper ventilation hole.

The ventilation is both horizontal – from the inside out – and vertical – from the bottom edge upwards: an innovative technology used for the first time in leg protection.
