With a thickness of only 15 mm, the thin Konnex bar is just right even for a pony's mouth, as is the equally proportionally slimmed-down tongue port. Konnex Tongue Port Thin is also recommended as a dressage bit for double bridles, suitable for horses and ponies that cannot have a thicker bit together with a bridoon bit.
Konnex provides a combined effect of a tongue port and a butterfly mouthpiece, but is narrower and positions itself very comfortably in the horse's mouth. Suitable for horses with little space in the mouth, such as thoroughbred types or older horses (due to changes in tooth alignment), horses with large tongues, and especially those sensitive to tongue pressure. The shaped transition from mouthpiece to bit ring gives the bit stability and is well suited for work with young horses. The Loose Ring is intended for horses that prefer a movable bit. The ring runs smoothly through a copper sleeve, which significantly increases the lifespan of the bit.
