Trust bits are handmade and made from sweet iron, which has a sweet taste and stimulates saliva production. Over time, the bits will lose their blue color and become rust-colored.
Be sure to dry the bit thoroughly after riding.
The gag bit is used with special cheekpieces that run through two loops, where the rein is attached to the ring at one end. The gag applies pressure to the poll and the bars. Suitable for horses that easily drop their back and raise their neck while becoming a bit strong.
This bit is three-piece with an oval drop in the center. The loose rings provide more direct contact and a quicker release when the rein is eased. Horses tend not to become as stiff in the mouth with loose rings as with fixed ones, especially if they tend to get strong.
This bit is 16mm thick.
