The Flippan bit is ridden with a rein. The strength can be increased by moving the rein downwards, which provides more leverage effect. With the rein in the upper part of the ring, the leverage disappears and the strength becomes the same as a Baucher bit.

The unique mouthpiece has the same thickness throughout without any breaks that can reach and press against the bars or palate. The middle part breaks off at the side of the tongue and shapes comfortably in the mouth.
